As many as 11 farmer producer companies from Manipur are taking part in the trade show - BIOFACH India 2022, the only platform for organic industry dubbed as India's biggest fair which is underway in Greater Noida, NCR.
The state farmers are taking part in the expo under the guidance of Manipur Organic Mission Agency, MOMA K Debdutta Sharma, project director (MOMA), joint director Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Manipur and project officer (MOMA) Soubam Donald Singh, stated a release.
The delegation from Manipur include Makaem FPC from Tamenglong, Napam FPC and Ksenbil FPC from Chandel, Sanamahi Agro food from Imphal East, Khawizu FPC from Kangpokpi, Than Than FPC, Khuga Hills FPC and Zoutaang FPC from Churachandpur, Manmasi FPC from Pherzawl and Rumril FPC from Tengnoupal districts. The Expo will conclude on 3 September, it stated.
The three-day fair was inaugurated by chairman of Agricultural and Processed foods Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) M Angamuthu, it mentioned.
The 13th Edition of Biofach India 2022 saw 200 exhibitors comprising organic producers - fresh and processed besides stakeholders involved in enhancing organic produce.
It also included knowledge enhancing sessions with experts from the industry. An array of attractive organic products was displayed and the future of the organic market was vividly shown, it further stated.
Participants got the opportunity to meet the stakeholders face to face and observe the new trends and to network with the entire organic industry, it added.
