Manipur: EVMs, VVPATs randomisation 2nd round completed

Commissioning of the EVMs and VVPATs done under the supervision of the district election officers concerned.

The second round of randomisation of the EVMs and VVPATs to be used in 1,319 polling stations of 32 Assembly constituencies falling within No. 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency was completed on Friday at Kombirei Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Lamphelpat, Imphal West.

After the randomisation, the commissioning of the EVMs and VVPATs were done under the supervision of the district election officers concerned.

The randomisation process commenced at 9 am and was carried out in the presence of returning officer, 1-Inner Manipur PC, Imphal West Th Kirankumar; general observer of the 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency Dhavalkumar K Patel; district election officer, Imphal East Khumanthem Diana Devi; SP, Imphal West Ksh Shivakanta Singh; additional DEOs; assistant returning officers; Nodal Officers, etc.

Agents of candidates and authorised representatives from recognised political parties also attended the event.

Special polling stations have been assigned in all districts falling within No. 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency to ensure Internally Displaced People (IDPs) have facilities to cast their votes.
