Thirty eligible cadres of the outfit, including those from all the three assembly constituencies participated in exercising their franchise.

Speaking to the media, the Joint Monitoring Group member of the outfit Rohan Kuki said that the KN F had signed a Suspension of Operations agreement with the Government of India and the government of Manipur in 2008 to resolve the vexed political issues of the Kukis through negotiation.

“Since then, we have exercised our franchise at our designated peace camps, by coming to the mainstream. We are anticipating an early solution to our vexed political issue. We are happy that our boys could also participate again in the biggest festival of democracy today at our camp,” he added.

He urged the Government of India and the state government to resolve the Kuki political issue at the earliest.
