A total of 27 MBBS students and two BDS took out the rally from Tuibong Bazar to Mini Secretariat where they were denied entry by the authorities. Some of them were later allowed to submit their memorandum for the Governor of Manipur Anusuiya Uikey and Manipur University authorities through the additional DC of Churachandpur district Thangboi Gangte.

A student, Florence Nengneivah Baite said that they are wearing their white uniforms for a purpose so that they can help and treat the people, but now they had to hold protests in their white uniforms, which is not their purpose. She said that the treatment they are subjected to was discriminatory as they had already been verbally promised to have their examination by the Chief Secretary of Manipur and DC of Churachandpur.

It may be mentioned that the National Medical Commission had reportedly not given any objection against them from taking their examinations in Churachandpur.
