The Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU), Sadar Hills has called a 12-hour total shutdown on Monday to commemorate the 13th Remembrance Day.
According to CoTU, the total shutdown will begin from 6 am on June 3 and culminate at 6 pm the same day.
As part of the total shutdown, all government and private institutions will also be closed in the entire Kangpokpi district. Additionally, all business establishments and shops will be closed for the day.
Candlelight vigil will be held at Martyrs’ Cemetery Phaijang at 6 p.m. to pay homage to the Kuki-Zo martyrs in the ongoing violence.
