Manipur Congress leader Chaltonlien Amo joins BJP

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president and spokesperson Chaltonlien Amo on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Chaltonlien Amao is the sitting MLA of 55-Tipaimukh ST. He was elected from the Indian National Congress ticket in 2017.
Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister and election in charge of Manipur Bhupendra Yadav along with Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Union MoS Pratima Bhoumik and BJP Manipur president N Biren Singh accorded a warm welcome to Chaltonlien Amo.
Welcoming Chaltonlien Amo to the partyy, the election in charge of Manipur said that BJP is going from strength to strength in Manipur.
"I welcome Shri Chaltonlien Amo Tipaimukh to the Bhajpa Parivar. The BJP is going from strength to strength in Manipur due to people’s belief in the leadership of PM Shri @NarendraModi ji and the great work being done by Chief Minister Shri @NBirenSingh ji in the state," the union minister tweeted.
