The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and all office bearers have condoled the untimely demise of RK Thekho, former minister of Manipur, and Haji Mohommad Hassan, president, Lilong Block Congress Committee.
The MPCC said in a release that RK Thekho, who passed away on April 2, 2023, was the former MLA of Mao assembly constituency and later became the minister in the Congress-led coalition ministry in 2002 under former Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh.
The role played by him relentlessly for the welfare of Manipur will always be remembered by all the communities of the state irrespectively, the release added.
The release further condoled the demise of Haji Mohommad Hassan who passed away on April 3, 2023. He was elected president of the Lilong Block Congress Committee in the organisational election 2022.
MPCC solemnly shares the grief of the bereaved family, it stated.
