Assuring that that the construction would be completed within six months, he asked MPHC Ltd to start the construction as soon as possible. To facilitate commuters while visiting Loktak Lake, the road from Imphal to Moirang covering a distance of around 51 km would be widened and upgraded to double lane, he added. He also appealed to the residents residing along the roadside to take into consideration the state government’s plan of road widening while constructing any structure along the roadside so as to avoid damage in future.

Maintaining that law and order of the state had been considerably improved since the formation of the new government, Biren said that women of the state could now give more emphasis on bringing up their children in the right direction and contribute more in the improvement of the state’s economy.
