Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Thursday chaired a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the visit of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Manipur to inaugurate the Durand Cup in Imphal.
The Durand Cup will be held in Imphal on August 18, 2022.
The meeting was attended by YAS Minister, CS, DGP & Senior Army officials.
"Chaired a meeting to discuss the preparatory arrangements for proposed visit of Hon’ble Union Defence Minister, Sh@rajnathsingh Ji to inaugurate the Durand Cup in Imphal on 18th August, 2022. The meeting was attended by Hon’ble YAS Minister, CS, DGP & Senior Army officials," Biren tweeted.
The chief minister also held a review meeting to address the various bottlenecks in the expansion, widening and development of the national highways.
State ministers, MLAs, CS, NHIDCL officials and other top government officials were present at the meeting.
