Manipur CM Biren assures development works for Noney district
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has said the district will be one of the best and most developed districts in the state.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday announced several development works to be taken up in the newly carved out Noney (Longmai) district of Manipur. The district will be one of the most developed districts in the state, he said.
The chief minister was addressing a one-day political conference of BJP Nungba (ST) assembly constituency on Tuesday, which witnessed a massive turnout of people. The political conference, organised by BJP Nungba Mandal, was held at Longmai Common Ground, Noney district headquarters.
Special invitee, State Executive Committee BJP Manipur Pradesh, Gaidon Kamei gave the welcome note and led the presentation of gifts for dignitaries. BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi and president, BJP Tamenglong district M Danie were also present at the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Biren assured that a women’s market in Noney Bazar, Luangrang (Nungnang) SDO/BDO Office, operation theatre at Nungba, District Hospital (Noney) and other developmental projects will be soon set up.
Assuring to bring development projects for Noney district, he mentioned that Noney will be one of the best and most developed districts in the state.
As part of the event, a mass Covid vaccination drive was organised with the participation of Noney PHC Medical teams.
CMHT beneficiary cards were distributed by the CM in the presence of programme attendees. Several village authorities and other civil groups also submitted representations during the programme.
The chief minister also warmly welcomeed former INC, LJP, NPF and other political leaders who joined the BJP, at the function which featured several artistes performed special songs and cultural dances.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Kenan Kamei, convenor, local organising committee.
