Two Chinese hand grenades suspected to be left by miscreants were found near Imphal river at Serou Makha Leikai (Ningthem Hiden) under Sugnu Police Station in Kakching district on Tuesday morning.
A team of Bomb Disposal Squad, Manipur Police from Imphal arrived and collected the two bombs at 11 am and they were disposed off by detonating them at 11. 27 am, as per sources.
Meanwhile, another Chinese hand grenade was left allegedly by miscreants at the residence of one Md Abdul Kalam ,56, son of (L) Ibobi at Khabeisoi Mamang Leikai under Heingang Police Station in Imphal East at around 2.30 pm on Tuesday.
Md Abdul Kalam is an active worker of the NPP candidate of Khurai assembly constituency.
The bomb was collected by a team of Bomb Disposal Squad, Manipur Police and detonated at Heingang Ching at 5. 30 pm.
