The Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice Siddharth Mridul along with justices inspected Bishnupur District Court Complex and visited four relief camps in Bishnupur district on Tuesday.
The chief justice visited SAI Utlou Complex Relief Camp, Oinam High School Relief Camp (c) Leimaram High School Relief Camp, SP Girls’ Hostel, Leimaram Relief Camp and interacted with the inmates.
The chief justice was accompanied by Judges of the High Court of Manipur, Justice A Bimol Singh, Justice A Guneshwar Sharma and Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu.
The team jointly contributed and donated winter specific relief items at all the four Relief Camps including Charcoal, Charcoal heater, Immersion Rod, Room Heater, Hot Water Bag, Blanket, Mattress, Body Soap, Toothpaste, Torch-light with LED Lamp, Diaper etc.
As part of the first phase, the distribution of relief materials is made to the Relief Camps situated in Bishnupur district. Efforts will be made to also reach out to the Relief Camps in the remaining districts in phase-wise manner.
While interacting with the inmates, the chief justice instructed them to submit the needs and grievances of the inmates to the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVS) under the District Legal Services Authorities in writing so that the same may be placed before appropriate authorities.
The team was accompanied by advocate general Lenin Hijam, registrar of HC, Y Rother, Binny Ngangom, president, All Manipur Judicial Officers Association, S Brajabihari Singh, chairman, Bar Council of Manipur, Y Nimolchand Singh, president, High Court Bar Association of Manipur, Alek Muivah, member secretary, Manipur State Legal Services Authority, Judicial Officers and members of the Bar.
