Candlelight vigils were held in various areas of Thoubal district on Saturday paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the ongoing violence which erupted in the state on May 3, 2023.
Heirok Apunba Club and Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi organised a candlelight vigil along Heirok- Wangjing road in the Heirok Keithel area. Wangjing Gram Panchyat Apunba Club Organisation (WANGGPACO) also organised candlelight vigil at Pioneer Club Wangjing ground at Wangjing Hodamba Maning Leikai.
Thoubal and Kakching district Apunba Lup (TAKDAL) also observed a ‘Solidarity Day’ at different areas of Thoubal and Kakching District on Saturday.
Keirak Apunba Meira Paibi Nupi Lup and Langsai Thouna Kakching also organised candlelight vigil at Keirak Keithel Lampak Community hall and Langsai Thouna office in Kakching Lamkhai office respectively. Various slogans were also chanted.
