A bride-to-be woman was found hanging on Tuesday in her residence, a day just before her marriage in Imphal.
As per police report the woman is identified as one Thokchom Bidyarani Devi, 30, daughter of (L) Th Krishna of Thangmeiband Maisnam Leikai, Imphal.
As per police sources, Bidyarani was to be married with one Khoirakpam Rajesh Singh, 36, son of (L) Kh Pishak of Moirang Ngangkha Leikai on Wednesday. However, she was reportedly found hanging on Tuesday morning at around 5.50 am in the bathroom.
She was rushed to Shija Hospital, Langol, Imphal West but hospital authorities declared that she was brought dead to the hospital.
Later, Imphal Police Station deposited the body at RIMS morgue late Tuesday evening.
Sources reported that the family members of the deceased claimed the body without performing autopsy.
