Manipur: All CMOs directed to be on alert

The Directorate of Health services directed that the CMOs shall coordinate with their respective district administration in view of the unprecedented natural calamities for necessary management.

The Directorate of Health services on Tuesday directed all the chief medical officers (CMOs) not to leave their respective stations and ensure continuity of health care service in the public health facilities.

The directorate, in its memorandum issued on Tuesday, signed by director, health services, Manipur, Dr O Sanahanbi Devi stated that the initiative was taken after Cyclone Remal affected the Northeastern region of India including Manipur.

It mentioned that heavy rainfall and storms have affected various parts of the districts leading to flash floods and landslides.

It further directed that the CMOs shall coordinate with their respective district administration in view of the unprecedented natural calamities for necessary management.
