Manipur: 10-day cultural workshop concludes

"Scientific progress cannot be compared to the evolution of art and culture."

The 10-day Workshop on Khunung Eshei, Khongjom Parva and Pena organised by Yeningkhol Seidam Shang, Khurai at Khurai Kala Bidya Bhavan, Imphal concluded on Monday.

On the occasion, ex-Zilla Parishad member of Telou Channa Seijang Tensubam Ratan stated that all the developments in the modern world were the result of preservation of art and culture.

He stated that scientific progress could not be compared to the evolution of art and culture. One cannot advance without the other; they are interdependent, he added.

He highlighted that there were numerous facets of art and culture, the most prominent being dance and music.

He further stated that the human race would cease to exist without art and culture.

President of Yeningkhol Seidam Shang Kh Nabakumar, president of Khurai Kala Bidya Bhavan RK Narjit among others were present at the event.
