A man was found dead near a paddy field at Salam Mapal-Nangou area in Lilong Loutara under Lilong police station, Thoubal district on Sunday, sources said.

The body was first noticed by passersby around 6 am, the sources said.
The deceased has been identified as one Khan Shab alias Ege, 47, son of late Baseruddin from Phisabam, Lilong Tolenkhun, the sources added.
