The Imphal East district police have arrested one drug dealer and recovered 67,900 SP capsules, 350 WY tablets, 115 N10 tablets and 135 gm of heroin powder from his possession. The entire seizure is worth Rs 1.20 crore in local market and Rs 9 crore in the international market, police sources said.

The arrest of the drug dealer and seizure of drugs took place a day after Chief Minister N Biren Singh issued directives to concerned authorities to take up all necessary measures to end the menace of drugs and to make Manipur a drug free state.
Further investigation is underway.
