A man has been accused of taking photos and videos of girl students bathing in Imphal East district without their consent. In this regard, an FIR was filed at the Irilbung police station on Saturday by one of the victims.
According to the complaint, a 30-year-old man staying at a rented house in the same building where the girl students were also staying were caught taking pictures and videos of the complainant without her consent with a motive to outrage her modesty while she was bathing on Thursday morning
The complainant also mentioned that the accused disclosed that he had done such an act of taking photos and videos of the complainant and other girls staying at the rented house since the last two months.
Further maintaining that the accused might have shared those pictures and videos of the victim girls to his friends, she prayed for initiating legal action against the accused person.
The FIR was filed for transmitting privacy and voyeurism pictures and video through communication devices punishable under section 354 C IPC and 66 (E)/67 IT Act.
Till the filing of this report, the accused is still at large and is yet to be arrested.
