Makhuam (Marangjing) village solemnly declared to extend full support for former MLA, National People's Party (NPP) candidate for Tamenglong (ST) assembly constituency Janghemlung Panmei in a programme held at Makhuam-III Village under Noney district on Tuesday.
The declaration document was handed over to Janghemlung Panmei by the village authority chairman of Makhuam Lanranglung Gondaimei.
According to the declaration note, the Makhuam Village Peih/Authority after a deliberation, declared that the village extends its full support for the NPP candidate in the upcoming 12th General Assembly Election.
During the programme, Janghemlung Panmei expressed his sincere thanks to the Makhuam Village Authority Peih for organising a massive, political campaign. He further expressed his thanks to all the villagers for showing their unity in supporting him.
As part of the programme, unfurling of the NPP Flag was done by the candidate in the presence of his supporters. A blessing ceremony for the candidate was also held in the presence of pastor Angan Makhuam-III Baptist Church.
The programme was attended by Makhuam Village Authority/Peih Youth Wing and Women Wing. Several prominent political leaders from different segments under the Tamenglong assembly constituency were also present in the programme.
