The final training/briefing of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Kamjong district was held on Monday at the Kamjong Election Hall (NIELIT Hall) located inside the Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul.
The training was attended by BLOs of four subdivisions of Kamjong district namely Phungyar, Kamjong, Kasom and Sahamphung subdivisions.
The BLOs are to perform their duties at 78 polling stations of 43-Phunyar (ST) AC, the lone Assembly Constituency within Kamjong District, in the 2nd phase Lok Sabha Poll scheduled on April 26.
During the training, Phungyar SDO Rang David Kung briefed the Booth Level Officers about the role of BLOs and their duties on poll day. The SDO also exhorted the BLOs to perform their duties seriously and assist the voters to cast their vote freely and fairly.
DEO/DC Kamjong, Rangnamei Rang Peter, while interacting with the Booth Level Officers, instructed the officers to be very alert and co-operate with the sector offers and booth level agents so that the poll process could be conducted in a peaceful manner.
After the training ID-Cards were issued to every officer. BLO’s Kits along with their TA/DA were also distributed to the BLOs.
