The Little Flower School Past Pupils Association on Monday distributed basic necessary items including food and clothing to the displaced persons seeking refuge in the relief camps opened at Government Dance College, Palace Compound, Shyamasakhi High School and Praja High School, Lamshang.

The activity was carried out under the initiative of LFS Sister Superior, Maria Dilbung and headmistress, Sister Ronai in the presence of Wangkhei MLA Thangjam Arunkumar, stated the association. In the distribution event, MLA Arunkumar stressed the need for collective efforts to restore peace and normalcy in the state and urged everyone to work in unity, it said.

Retired teacher of the School, Jeevan Yambem led the association in carrying out a fund drive to raise donations for providing relief and humanitarian assistance to the affected victims of the conflict, it mentioned.

The association also thanked the past pupils of the school and all those who have extended assistance and further also assured to continue carrying out similar activities in future, it added.
