A one-day legal awareness programme on ‘issues faced by senior citizens’ was organised on Saturday by District Legal Service Authority Tamenglong in collaboration with Duithanlong ward no.5, part-3 and Legal Aid Clinic, Tamenglong.
The awareness programme was sponsored by Manipur State Legal Service Authority under the aegis of National Legal Service Authority.
Advocate Kalangaipou spoke as resource person and Duithanluang ward No 5, part-3 vice-chairman Digabou Abonmai shared the dais.
In his welcome keynotes address, Para Legal Volunteer coordinator, Daniel Kamei said that the legal awareness programme was held as part of Pan India Awareness and Outreach campaign on legal services.
He urged all the participants to learn more about legal activities and spread the awareness to neighbours and relatives.
