A one-day Legal Awareness Programme on the topic, ‘Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013', was held for the fraternity of nursing community in Manipur at the Conference Hall of ADR Building, Lamphel Court Complex, Imphal West on Wednesday.
It was organised by the District Legal Services Authority, Imphal West in collaboration with Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), Manipur State Branch under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of RK Memcha Devi, District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West cum chairperson, DLSA, Imphal West, and led by Bineshwori Maibam, chief judicial Magistrate, Imphal West cum i/c secretary, DLSA, Imphal West.
It was held in the in the presence of chief guest Alek Muivah, member secretary, MASLSA, guest of Honour Puyam Tomcha Meitei, president, All Manipur Bar Association and Guest of Honour N Nalinibala Devi, chairperson, Nursing Education & Research, TNAI Manipur State Branch and Naorem Tangbi Devi, president, TNAI Manipur State Branch. Brahmacharimayum Supriya Devi, Advocate chaired as resource person of the programme.
The programme was attended by Sadananda Sorokhaibam, Additional member secretary, MASLSA, Rajshree Yambem, Deputy Member Secretary, MASLSA, Khangembam Rojita Devi, OSD, MASLSA, the Fraternity of Nursing Community in Manipur and Staffs of DLSA, Imphal West and MASLSA.
