Khongsang Police station did not take up any case regarding the human induced landslide resulting from excavation work that was carried out using a JCB along the Imphal-Jiribam National Highway-37 in Noney district on Saturday as per an agreement with the family members of the deceased minor.

It may be mentioned that Rigunguang Phaomei (4), son of Damchuilung Phaomei of Khongsang died in the lanslide while Thaithuilung Kamei (11) and Ringkhuanlung Kamei (7), son of Abraham Kamei of Khongsang were rescued. Body of the deceased has been buried by performing its last rites.
