Kukis in Tengnoupal protest against removal of FMR

The Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal (KIT) and Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Tengnoupal, organised a rally starting from Tengnoupal Bazar towards the DC-Tengnoupal Office at around 11 am on Thursday.

Approximately 500 men and women actively participated in the rally by displaying a banner written as “Peaceful Rally in protest against the Govt move to scrap ‘Free Movement Regime (FMR) and construction of Indo-Myanmar border fencing”.

Protestors also displayed placards which said  “We object to FMR & Border Fencing in Tengnoupal district” and “Respect people’s sentiments”.
