The 19th Conference of Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC) Gambih No. 17 which began on January 16 ended on January 19.
The conference, held at Aishi village in Kamjong district, began with the hoisting of the KBC Flag by Pastor Paominthang Haokip, KBC No.17 with 11 churches from the areas participating in the conference.
It was also graced by Phungyar AC MLA, Leishiyo; Henglep AC MLA, Letjamang Haokip, and Saikul AC MLA Kimneo Haokip Hangshing who witnessed various competitions such as group songs, group Bible verse recitations by the participating Churches.
Reverand Onkho Haokip, pastor Mangjapao Haokip and pastor Paominthang Haokip were the main speakers during the conference while KBC No.17 choir and various churches choirs, and prominent gospel artiste Lalparzo Senate enthralled the gathering with their melodious voice during the event.
Lakhan Baptist Church bagged the first position in group song competition and Aishi Baptist Church and Centre Church Chassad jointly bagged the second position while Molnoi Baptist Church bagged the third position.
In the group Bible verse recitation competition, Phaimol Baptist Church, Lakhan Baptist Church and Maokot Baptist Church bagged the first, second and third position.
Installation of New executives by Pastor KBC No. 17 and prize distribution were the main event in the closing ceremony while the conference culminated with the de-hoisting of the KBC Flag by Thangkhogin Haokip, Chairman KBC No. 17.
