KSO city branches condemn NH-2 blockade relaxation

As many as 14 city branches of the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) on Monday condemned the declaration of the Committee on Tribals Unity (COTU) that the blockade on NH-2 would be lifted for a specific window.

A joint statement signed by KSO’s city branches from Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Shillong, Silchar, Guwahati, Imphal, Kerala, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi stated that the decision was insensitive of COTU for its failure to take notice of the tensions at Sugnu.

It urged COTU to clarify its statement at the earliest, and stressed that any decision taken without the general consensus will be deemed null and void.
