The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Churachandpur has decided to set up a new department of Narcotics and Substance Abuse in its organisation.
DJ Haokip, general secretary of the organisation, stated that the decision to set up a new department was taken after the executive meeting on November 13, 2022 to look in to the matter of youth who are indulging in illicit drug abuse that’s prevailing in the district and to combat and mitigate such anti-social activities in the district.
The general secretary also informed that they have appointed D Mynna Haokip as Convenor and Samuel Lhungdim and Henjahao Doungel Co-Convenor(s) of the Department of Narcotics and Substance Abuse.
Departmental expansion of members and volunteers shall be in the ambit of the nominated officials, the KSO stated.
