The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) general headquarters on Wednesday decided to boycott the upcoming Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) examination, discontent over the alleged non-response of the authority concerned in connection with the demand for an examination centre in Churachandpur.
KSO stated that on November 27, 2023, it had officially communicated its concerns to the relevant department, urging a review of the examination centre allocation, but no response has been received to date.
It alleged the authorities of biased treatment and being inconsiderate towards the aspirants, stating that “it is a violation of rights and a dereliction of the duty to ensure equal opportunities for all.”
Kuki-Zo aspirants, who have been eagerly preparing for the PHED Examination, deserve fair and equal opportunities, it mentioned.
KSO has issued a stern advisory to all Kuki-Zo aspirants, urging them not to participate in the upcoming PHED Examination until their demands are adequately addressed.
The KSO also called upon the authorities to recognise the severity of the matter and engage in a constructive dialogue with them to find a swift resolution.
