The Kangleipak Kaba Lup (KKL) on Friday condemned the “misleading statements” and “misrepresentation” of the NRC, 1951 base year demand allegedly made during a political discussion programme of an Imphal-based news media.
A release issued by KKL general secretary Ngamkheingakpa Luwang alleged All Manipur Muslim Organisations Coordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) president of making misleading statements during a political discussion programme of an Imphal based news media.
It further alleged the anchor of the programme and the other guest on the expert panel of unresponsive behaviours on the statements.
Cautioning the dangers of spreading misinformation from “such misleading discussion programmes,” it appealed to the concerned to organise such discussion programmes with caution.
