In a release signed by secretary‐in‐charge, information and publicity S Mangal, KCP stated that the celebration at 131 Battalion was conducted in the presence of KYKL/MYL deputy finance secretary L Ingba as the chief guest, KCP/MFL chief of army staff H Ibomcha as president along with KCP/MFL G-2 N Mani, KYKL/MYL first battalion CO S Dhana and KCP/MFL G-3 M Robin as guests of honour.

The celebration began with the guest of honour lighting up the inaugural lamp and the president unfurling the flag of the organisation. Floral tributes were offered to the leaders and brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the fight for self-determination movement of Kangleipak (Manipur) and ‘Western South East Asia (WESEA)’ while a two- minute silence was also observed as a mark of showing respect, it mentioned.  

131 Battalion adjutant T Saiyon gave the welcome address, following which RO T Yaipharemba read out the annual statement of the Central Committee in regard to the 42nd foundation day of the organisation, KCP stated. He reminded the cadres that they need to take actions for the revolutionary movement in a limited time period, it mentioned. He stressed on the need to speed up the revolution and said that one should never focus and determination, it further stated.  

N Mangi said that the movement is being undertaken for the sake of the future generations, KCP stated. He further exhorted the armed revolutionary fighters to learn what they can and become leaders in the future. S Dhana said that a revolutionary movement must include the people, it mentioned.  

The celebration was also held at the central head quarter, general head quarter, training centre and other units, it added.
