The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) on Monday extended condolences on the untimely death of its deputy finance secretary Ng Khuman Meitei.
A release issued by information and publicity, secretary-in-charge S Mangal stated that Ng Khuman Meitei alias Ngasepam Achouba Meitei was a patriot who was an avid promoter of the Manipuri cultures and traditions. Mentioning the many achievements and endeavours of Ng Khuman Meitei, it lauded his visionary feats in paving the paths for his successors.
Mentioning that his humble upbringings and his affinity with the labourers and farmers made him the perfect representative of the people, the message reminisced his unrelenting efforts for the greater good of the common people.
Paying homage to the departed soul, KCP and its units including CHQ, GHQ and MLF camps, observed a red salute, half masting the party flag and also performed the last rites, it added.
