Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar on Sunday assured to complete construction of Kakching District hospital within 18 months, stating that the Centre has already sanctioned Rs 53.35 crore.

Inspecting the district hospital area, MLA Rameshwar said that land finalisation for the hospital is almost over under Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Health and Family Welfare Minister Sapam Ranjan and CM also inaugurated the covid hospital used during the pandemic.

As many as 15 bedded Integrated Cure Unit (ICU) constructed by the Planning department, Manipur under CSR funding have also started functioning, he added. People of Kakching need not go to Imphal to avail ICU facilities, he mentioned.
