A special general body meeting of Kabui Union was convened at Moirangkhom Kabui Khul community hall on Sunday and resolved to unite with other communities who shared clans with the Kabuis.
President of the union K Heera Kabui, Gangmei Kataigang Kabui, Golmei Jiten Kabui and Lanbon Kabui among others attended the meeting, stated a release. A patriotic song for Kabui was also released during the programme, it stated.
Meanwhile, Longmei Pourillung Kabui honoured Longmei Pourillung Kabui with a certificate of appreciation, it mentioned.
It stated that the Longmei Pourillung Kabui clinched second position in Right and Left arm-wrestling in the National Arm-wrestling and Para arm-wrestling Championship 2024 in Nagpur.
The meeting also resolved to urge all communities to attend the Kabui Salang Maiba annual function. The Union also committed to fully support the erection of an Indigenous Pillar by Federation of Haomee at Sawombung Kabui Khunjao, it added.
