The NSCN (I-M) on Sunday alleged the Indian intelligence agencies of carrying out a highly orchestrated social media warfare by “using the tribal card to create fissure within the NSCN,” desperate to set fire to the tribal sentiment.

India has already resorted to indulge in proxy war against National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) with the well established nexus between the KNA(B) and PDF with AR(Assam Rifles), stated a release issued by the MIP.

It said that the modus operandi is to use fictitious Naga names belonging to certain tribes and writing provocative articles. The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) had recently come across an article followed by a counter article under the titles, ‘Muivah is a problem, Not the solution,’ it added.
This was followed by a counter article titled, ‘Rendering Political Education to Zavisituo Angami,’ authored by a fictitious Tangkhul name, it said. The names of the revered Naga national leaders AZ Phizo and Th Muivah were used playing tribal card to create destructive storms on tribal lines among the Angamis and the Tangkhuls, it mentioned.  These articles were made to go viral in the social media platforms, it added.

“The irony is we could see through the carefully considered social media strategy with the filthiest purposes, the most disgusting kind of propaganda that played with the sanctity of Naga national leaders,” it said.

It contended that the AZ Phizo and Th Muivah have their respective place in the history of Naga political struggle. It was because of their tireless work that the world came to know better about the political rights and identity of the Nagas as a people and as a nation, it mentioned.

It was Phizo who led the Nagas from the front and declared Naga Independence and conducted a Naga plebiscite to reaffirm the sovereign will of the Naga people to live as an independent sovereign nation, it said.

“Naga people, young and old must appreciate and give due honor and respect to uncle Phizo for what he had done for the Nagas and their righteous cause at the right time. He had dedicated his entire life bearing the unbearable burden living in exile in London till his last breath. Had there been no Phizo who had done so much for the political cause of the Nagas, the political status of the Nagas today would have been a different story today,” it said.

It was Th Muivah who came into the Naga political scene and had played his role in the Naga political movement with tireless commitment to the political goals laid down by AZ Phizo and work with dedication, persistent and well focused, it further said.

It was under his firebrand revolutionary leadership that the political status of the Naga nation with sovereign rights was given a new meaning by the government of India after the historic Framework Agreement of 3rd August, 2015, it mentioned. The political significance of the agreement pointed to the recognition of Naga independence declaration on  August 14, 1947 and the Naga plebiscite of  May 16, 1951 to reaffirm the Naga independence as the sovereign will of the Naga people, it said. All said and done, Nagas would not be naive enough to be carried away by misleading communal divisive propaganda waged by the Indian intelligence agency to erode the NSCN, it added.
