Independent candidate Abujam Umapada Luwang will not contest in 12th Manipur Assembly election

Umapada was recently arrested at Harinagar in Jiribam district by police on a bailable warrant.

Independent candidate of Jiribam assembly constituency Abujam Umapada Luwang on Friday announced that he has not filed his nomination as he will not be contesting in the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.

In a press meet held at conference hall of Jiri News Network (JNN) at Babupara, Jiribam district, Abujam Umapada from Sorok Atingbi Hilghat, Jiribam said that after considering the advices of CSOs and public of the assembly constituency he has decided to not contest in the election and had not submitted his nomination.
