It is said that the contract for the construction of the retaining wall is done by a brother of Minister Awangbow Newmai; however, for the last eight months the construction has stopped before its completion.

Locals of the area made several complaints to local MLA Karam Shyam and even to the concerned authorities with an apprehension that due to the incompleteness of the said retaining wall the locality might face severe problems with the coming of monsoon season.
