Curfew in Imphal West and Imphal East districts have been relaxed from 5 am 6 pm for Thursday (August 30) to facilitate the general public to carry out daily activities and buy essential items, including food and medicines.
The magistrates of both the districts cited considerable improvement in the law-and-order situation in the state for relaxing the curfew.
Curfew exemption
As per notification, movement of persons belonging to essential services such as health, electricity, PHED, petrol pumps, schools/colleges, municipality, power (MSPDCL/MSPCL), press and electronic media, functioning of courts and to and fro movement of flight passengers to the airport will be exempted from the imposition of curfew after the expiry of the said period of relaxation.
