A team of Imphal West commando on Thursday conducted a drive at hotels and shops located at the Polo Ground area, Paona Bazaar and seized Indian Made Foreign Liquors (IMFL) and distilled indigenous country (DIC) liquors.
The team of Imphal West CDO led by Imphal West CDO OC inspector P Achouba Meetei under the command of SP Ops Imphal West M Amit Singh and the overall supervision of SP Imphal West S Ibomcha Singh conducted a drive at the different hotels and shops located at the Polo Ground area, Paona Bazaar.
During the drive, the team seized large amounts of IMFL and DIC liquors from various establishments in and around Paona Bazaar. The team arrested the sellers and handed them over to Lamphel Excise along with the seized items for further procedures.
During the drive, the team also detained 42 persons who were consuming liquor in the shop and were handed over to the City police station for further procedures.
