Speaking to the media on Saturday at Manipur Press Club in Imphal, Momo said that he and his wife have been happily married for 10 years and have two children.

However, due to a family issue, his wife had been staying at her maternal house in Thanga Lawai, Bishnupur district since October 30, 2021 along with their children, he said.

He said that his wife went missing since April 17 but they found it out only on April 20 from the record available at the Keibul Lamjao Police Station wherein he was told by the police that his wife has eloped with another man.

“Following this entire unwanted incident, I approached my wife’s family to hand over my children but they denied,” said Momo and appealed to the public to help him to get custody of his children.
