Hundreds of teachers attend Vidya Pravesh training programme

Training on 'Vidya Pravesh' guidelines for three-month play-based School Preparation Module for Grade-I Children, which started on Friday at Tamenglong district HQ, concluded on Saturday.

Several hundreds of teachers from various government schools in Tamenglong district participated in the training programme on 'Vidya Pravesh' guidelines conducted at Tamenglong district HQ.

Training on 'Vidya Pravesh' guidelines for three-month play-based School Preparation Module for Grade-I Children, which started on Friday, concluded on Saturday. The programme was organised by Zonal Education Office, Tamenglong at Mini Stadium Tamenglong near Apollo ground.

More than 400 teachers from various schools under ADC and Zonal Education Office, Tamenglong, participated in the training on the first day of the training, while around 400 teachers from Tousem and Tamei block took part on the concluding day.

Tamei DIET Lecturer Jonathan Pamei, RTE resource person Gaijuanrei Panmei, RTE resource person Aribam Indubala Devi and Hawaibam Saral Singh attended the training programme as resource persons.

Speaking at the training, N Abonpou Christopher said that the 'Vidya Pravesh' guidelines for a three-month play-based school Preparation Module for Grade-I Children have been developed as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Meanwhile, National Tobacco Control Programme, Tamenglong, under NRHM also organised a one-day training for National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), Panchayati Raj Institute (PRI) representatives, teachers, law enforcement officers, transport personnel, NGOs and other stakeholders at the chief medical office Tamenglong on Saturday.

During the training, chief medical officer of Tamenglong, Dr G Majachunglu, and district nodal officer for NTCP, Tamenglong, Dr. Rochunlung Savio Kamei, spoke as resource persons.

With special emphasis on tobacco-free zones in educational campuses, warning signages on 100 yards "no tobacco use and sale" were distributed to schools that participated in the training through chief medical officer Tamenglong Dr G Majachunglu.
