HESU club meira paibis Heirok part (II) Maning Leikai, Thoubal district staged a sit-in protest, condemning the alleged killing of Phijam Hemanjit and Hijam Linthoingambi by Kuki militants at the club ground on Sunday.

Taking part in the protest, Meira Paibi Thokchom Sumati lamented the killing of two innocent students. She warned the government of intense agitation if the government failed to nab the culprits and award befitting punishment at the earliest. She also demanded the government to bring a solution for the ongoing violence.

Placards which say, “We want justice”, “We want peace in Manipur”, “Book and hang the culprits” and “Don’t delay justice”, were displayed during the protest.
