Health minister, L Jayantakumar Singh has lauded the effort of state entrepreneurs for helping the state government especially the Health department by making protective equipment to contain the pandemic COVID-19.
The minister was speaking at his old secretariat office during the occasion of receiving 100 numbers of PPE kits donated by Romi Bag Industry, Thangmeiband on Thursday.
He said that taking up prompt decisions to manufacture health protective equipment such as PPE, face mask, hand sanitizer etc by the industry during the critical period is commendable.
The effort of Romi Bag Industry is like a holistic approach to humanity, he added while appreciating all the technical and non-technical staff for rendering the service during the juncture of global pandemic.
Speaking at the occasion, proprietor of Romi Bag Industry, Khumbongmayum Dhanachandra said that the industry has been certified by DRDO, MSF and other two certifying agencies for making medical equipment. He also shared his gratitude on the successful manufacture of health protective equipment thereby enabling to serve the people of state.
The occasion was also attended by director of Health Services, Dr. K Rajo; deputy director of Health Services, Dr. Pravin, medical superintendent of RIMS, Dr. Ch Arunkumar and other health officials.
