The Community Development Society (CDS), in collaboration with the Joint Students’ Body, Lamka visited seven relief centres in the heart of the Lamka town on Saturday with an aim to help the inmates and maintain cleanliness by providing health and hygiene kits.
The health and hygiene kits that were distributed included tooth paste, tooth brush, comb, soaps, nail cutter, detergent powder, bucket, mug, ORS packets, etc. The team also, on the occasion, tested the water source of the relief camps for contamination, the result of which will be forwarded to the PHED.
CDS president Lianzamung Tonsing said that CDS, in collaboration with JSBL, had made resource and potential mapping and based on that, they will provide/distribute necessary sanitary or hygiene kits.
