A hand grenade was hurled and exploded inside the base camp of ABCI Pvt Ltd near Awangkhul Part -2 ,NH-37 under Noney Police Station, Noney district on Saturday evening at around 6.10 pm.
One person got minor injuries in his forehead and left chest in the blast. The injured person is identified as Gamir Ali, 37 son of Samsal Alam from Barajal, Nalbari District, Assam.
He is an operator of Hot Mix Plant (HMP Plant). As soon as the news was received, a team of Noney Police led by Noney OC (TP) rushed to the spot and investigated the incident. A case has been registered by Noney police station.
It may be mentioned that ABCI Pvt. Ltd is one of the construction companies undertaking the task of widening the double lane road of Imphal - Jiribam Road ( NH-37) stretching from Rangkhung to Khongsang.
