Governor, CM extend Sajibu Cheiraoba wishes to people in Manipur

Extending well wishes to all the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Sajibu Nongmapanba, the Governor urged the people of the state to rededicate themselves to the promotion of peace and harmony in the state for a better Manipur.

Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister N Biren on Friday extended greetings and well wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba, the Manipuri New Year’s Day.

In his message, the governor stated that the New Year is an occasion for the people to rejoice and look forward to the future with hope. “I look forward to the New Year as the harbinger for a happy and prosperous life for all the people in the state irrespective of caste, creed or religion,” he stated.

He further expressed his hope for the advent of the New Year to further cement the bond of friendship among the different communities in the state.

Extending well wishes to all the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Sajibu Nongmapanba, he urged the people of the state to rededicate themselves to the promotion of peace and harmony in the state for a better Manipur.

Biren also extended greetings and well wishes for a joyous and prosperous new year to the people of Manipur on the occasion.

In his message, Biren stated that the Sajibu Cheiraoba marks the beginning of a new lunar year for the Meitei community.

Adding that the occasion brings people closer together through sharing and gifting, he extended prayers and well wishes for a prosperous new year which will bring abundance of joy and good health for everyone.
