Governor Anusuiya Uikey launches Ayushman Bhava in Manipur

A cleanliness campaign to be initiated in health institutions nationwide to maintain hygienic healthcare environments under "Ayushman Bhava".

Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey inaugurated the Ayushman Bhava (saturation coverage of health schemes) in Manipur, which was launched nationwide by the President on Wednesday.

The state-level programme held at Hotel Classic Grande in Imphal highlighted the government's commitment to extending healthcare access to all corners of the nation.

The campaign, driven by the vision of PM Narendra Modi aims to ensure that every Indian citizen receives quality medical care, leaving no one without treatment. 

Its core objectives include raising awareness about various health schemes and ensuring that these benefits reach even the remotest areas. As a part of the initiative, eligible beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme will receive health cards.

Addressing the event, Anusuiya Uikey expressed confidence that this campaign would significantly enhance awareness about healthcare, target services effectively and ensure the delivery of benefits from state-run health schemes. 

She said, various activities such as "Ayushman Aapke Dwar," "Ayushman Sabha," "Ayushman Mela," "School Children Screening," and "Ayushman Gram" are planned to achieve these goals.

Under "Ayushman Aapke Dwar," eligible families will be registered for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, and health cards will be issued to them, she said, adding that the "Ayushman Sabha" programme will focus on raising awareness about health, hygiene, and nutrition at the village level and provide screening services for non-communicable diseases.

The governor also emphasised the importance of ensuring that every village in India achieves good health. 

She acknowledged the vital role of the Health and Family Welfare Department's "Ayushman Bhava" campaign in realising India's goal of universal health coverage.

Furthermore, she praised the relentless efforts of the state's Health Department, led by the chief minister and Health minister in serving the underprivileged. 

The primary focus of the campaign is to promote "Arogya Lakshya Seva" and deliver healthcare services to India's economically disadvantaged citizens. Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya announced that Ayushman Melas will be organised at over 1,17,000 health and wellness centers across the nation, offering accessible healthcare services.

Additionally, a cleanliness campaign will be initiated in health institutions nationwide to maintain hygienic healthcare environments under "Ayushman Bhava".

The launching programme was also attended by state Health Minister S Ranjan.

Following the launch of Ayushman Bhav campaign by President Droupadi Murmu and across the state through video conference, the campaign was also launched at various district headquarters of the state.

TAMENGLONG:

In Tamenglong, deputy commissioner L Anshim Dangshawa launched the campaign at the conference hall of Mini Secretariat.

The Health and Family Welfare department along with District Administration will run the fortnight ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign in the district from September 17 to October 2.

On occasion, deputy commissioner L Anshim Dangshawa said that the campaign will focus on creating awareness about health programmes and ensuring accessibility of healthcare facilities for people.

Health cards would be issued to eligible families under the scheme during the 15-day period. Ayushman Melas would also be organised at all health and wellness centers where all people would be diagnosed and treated, he added.

He informed that under Ayushman Sabha, awareness activities about health, hygiene and nutrition would be organised at the village level on October 2.

KANGPOKPI:

Deputy Commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, launched the Ayushman Bhav campaign under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India at the ADC’s Conference Hall in Kangpokpi district. The function was organised by the District Health Society, Kangpokpi.

Ayushman Bhav aims to ensure the optimal delivery of health schemes to every beneficiary belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society across the nation.

The district level launch function of the campaign today was also attended by Hemant Kumar, IAS, AC to DC; Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip, CMO; Dr. Eunice Haokip, District Immunization Officer; Dr Kamkhosat Khongsai, DTO (Tuberculosis); Haojamang, District Coordinator PMJAY/CMHT; doctors and staffs of CHC; ASHA workers among others.  (DIO)

PHERZAWL:

Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl, Lalramsang Infimate along with DLOs attended the national and state level launching programmes of Ayushman Bhava through virtual mode at CMO Camp Office, HSA Campus.

Later, DC Lalramsang also launched the health campaign for Pherzawl district which was organized by District Health Society, National Health Mission, Pherzawl.

Speaking on the occasion, Lalramsang Infimate outlined the three components of Ayushman Bhavan health campaign and the scheduled activities for its implementation in the district.

DC Lalramsang said that 17 Common Service Centres in the district will be utilized to prepare Ayushman Cards for all remaining eligible beneficiaries enrolled under the PMJAY scheme. He also said that plans are underway to ensure specialist doctors at CHC Parbung for the weekly Ayushman Mela. The DC continued that Village Authority Leaders alongwith ASHA Workers will organize health awareness meetings at village levels as part of the Ayushman Sabha.

SENAPATI:

The Deputy Commissioner of Senapati Mamoni Doley, IAS, launched the Ayushman Bhava at the DC Conference Hall after attending nationwide live programme of the launching of Ayushman Bhava by President Droupadi Murmu and across the state through video conference.

Addressing the gathering, Senapati, DC Mamoni Doley IAS, said on the importance of Ayushman Bhav which actually means “A blessing to all”. She also said that the District administration and all concerned persons will carry out various tasks during the 15 days of the Seva Pakhwada to bring out a meaningful campaign.

She appealed to the CMO, Superintendent of District Hospital, DPM, MOs, DPO ICDS, all the SDOs/BDOs of the District to work with dedication and give quality wealth services during the campaign period and beyond. She also appealed to the village chairmen and secretary to inform their respective villagers about Ayushman Bhava.
