Government slammed for damage to water pipelines

People of Khunkho Kuki village under the jurisdiction of Leimakhong Police Station had reportedly cut the pipelines of Khurkhul Water Supply in seven different places.

Displaced people at the relief camps of Kanto Sabal Primary School have strongly condemned the government for not taking steps to fix the water pipelines cut by suspected Kuki militants on May 4, 2023.

It may be mentioned that the people of Khunkho Kuki village under the jurisdiction of Leimakhong Police Station had reportedly cut the pipelines of Khurkhul Water Supply in seven different places. They have also cut the Leimakhong Kangchup pipeline, which supplies drinking water in Imphal areas, at several places.

Consumers of the said water supplies have been facing acute water scarcity.
