Go to Village 2.0: Over 15,000 services provided for Imphal West

The ‘Go to Village 2.0’ (GTV 2.0) for Imphal West district started off on Monday by inaugurating the 62 stalls set up by 30 departments and other stakeholders for providing a range of services for the public of the district.

The ‘Go to Village 2.0’ (GTV 2.0) for Imphal West district was successfully held from Monday to Wednesday at Eco Tourism Park, Salam Thongkhong (Thaoroijam -Salam Village), Imphal West district.

The GTV 2.0 programme started off on Monday by inaugurating the 62 stalls set up by 30 departments and other stakeholders for providing a range of services for the public of Imphal West district, deputy commissioner Imphal West Th Kirankumar stated in a release.

He stated that the total number of services and benefits provided to the citizens in the three days of GTV 2.0 is above 15,000. On the first day, 4,805 services were given to the public. On the second day, 4,978 services were given to the public while on the third day, 5,343 services were given to the public, he added.

Hence a total of 15,126 services were given to the public in the last three days, he further stated.  Responding to public demand, a day shall be extended for a few selected stalls to cater more service delivery.

Further, the second and the third day of GTV 2.0 was used to create awareness to the public about various schemes and interventions, and their benefits to the general public by sharing the success stories, he stated.

Learning from these experiences, more people turned up for availing the services, he added. A mock drill from SDRF, Entertainment programme by Students of School Fagathansi Mission, Legal Awareness by Nokphade Team, Lila on National Education Policy and Covid Awareness etc. were some of the main programmes which drew the crowd beside the service delivery provided by the stalls.

He mentioned that the programme would not have been successful without the full participation of the people of the district; support of all machineries of the state in ensuring the arrangements, whole hearted efforts of a range of officers and officials and most importantly, the stakeholders including members, he added.
